The V2 Ranch was established in Texas in the late 1800's then moving to Indian Territory in 1900 in the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nation. The Ranch was an historical part of the area having a General Store, Blacksmith Shop, and Cotton Gin. It also was used during the development of the Dawes Roles for a number of tribes as a central location.
Joseph Burton VanPelt came with his small family to Indian Territory with his Dream of finding more open range for his stock and established a number of other business in Okfuskee county during his life time.
In the 1930's Joseph's son, Howard continued his father's pioneering spirit coming to Northeastern Oklahoma and purchasing the ranch that his great grandchildren and great great children currently reside on today.
Howard's son, H.B. (Bill) continued to run the ranch and a large Dairy Operation until the late 1950's. At that time turning primarily to beef & horses. The ranch continues to be run by the family and we are proud of the great heritage that our family has left us.
We continue today to raise cattle and horses attempting to follow there pioneering & progressive spirit.
We currently raise horses, cattle as well as provide equine activities such as Riding Lessons, Guided Individual & Group Tours of our 2000 acre ranch. We are located 30 minutes Northeast of Down Town Tulsa and 2 miles off Hwy 169.
